Science Week 2015

Date: 16th Mar 2015 @ 8:50am

Science week is off to an exciting start with a visiting scientist from Magna. We have taken part in lots of amazing experiments including:

  • investigating pushes, pulls and gravity using bin liners and some hot air

  • creating a vacuum to make marshmallows grow!

  • using air pressure to fire rockets

  • creating a Hero’s engine which was an enlightening example of Newton's third law of motion

  • creating an erupting geyser by adding mints to diet coke

Details of the experiments can be found on the Magna website but only try these with adult supervision (and do the messy experiments outdoors!)
