The aims are to build upon their practical capability in designing and making; to be encouraged to stimulate originality and enterprise; to develop skills using a range of materials and techniques and to develop an understanding of the needs of design in order to evaluate their own and others’ work. They will investigate and question designs, compare their own ideas and develop vocabulary skills through using appropriate technical language to describe processes.
